Triumph Motorcycles will once again support the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, a worldwide riding event that raises awareness and funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer. For 2024, Triumph and the DGR are pushing to host 1,000 rides across the globe, and Triumph will reward the top fundraiser with a Thruxton Final Edition motorcycle.
The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride began in Sydney, Australia, in 2012 by Mark Hawwa, and it’s the world’s largest charity event for classic and vintage motorcycle enthusiasts. To date, the DGR has raised more than $45 million for prostate cancer research and men’s health. This year’s event will take place May 19 at various locations.
“In 2024, we have set ourselves the goal of reaching 1,000 cities around the world,” said Mark Hawwa, founder and director of DGR. “We have ridden with each other on the same day all around the world since 2012. Our community is one that comes together, despite borders and oceans, riding side by side to raise increasingly critical funds and awareness for men’s mental health and prostate cancer. DGR 2024 is the year that we celebrate our fellow gentlefolk around the world that we ride alongside, united by a passion, and driven by the cause.”
To help inspire riders to raise as much money as possible, Triumph will give away a Thruxton Final Edition to the top fundraiser. This last iteration of the Thruxton features a Competition Green paint scheme and hand-painted gold lining and is signed by the artist. The bike will come with a certificate of authenticity with the bike’s VIN number and signed by members of the design team and Triumph CEO Nick Bloor, as well as a Final Edition engine badge and graphic.
The top fundraiser in the DGR will receive a Triumph Thruxton Final Edition as a reward.
This year, Triumph is also releasing a new clothing lineup featuring DGR and Triumph brands to support the ride. In addition, 2024 will launch the Team Triumph global community and give clothing prizes to the top five fundraisers in the Team Triumph group.

The 2025 Thruxton Final Edition marks the end of production for Triumph’s legendary cafe racer.
The Thruxton is dead, long live the Thruxton! The legendary Triumph Thruxton cafe racer, with a pedigree that goes back to the 1960s, will soon have its swan song: the 2025 Triumph Thruxton Final Edition marks the end of an icon.
At a press conference about the Thruxton Final Edition, James Wood, Triumph’s global marketing manager, said, “This decision [to end production of the Thruxton] was not taken lightly,” adding that the Speed Twin “has taken over the mantle as the sports classic in our lineup with its less over-the-bars ergonomics and its own aggressive poise and good looks.”
Introduced in 1964 as a limited-edition racebike, the Triumph Thruxton found early success in endurance races, claimed all three podium places at the 1969 Thruxton 500-mile race, and became the first production motorcycle to lap the Isle of Man TT Mountain Course at more than 100 mph. With a unique blend of style, handling, and performance, the Thruxton was beloved by sport-minded “ton-up” riders the world over.
In 2004, after Triumph was resurrected and found success under the direction of John Bloor, the modern Thruxton 900 made its debut, powered by a 69-hp air/oil-cooled parallel-Twin. But the performance potential of the legendary cafe racer got a boost in 2016 with the Thruxton R, with a “high power” variant of the 1,200cc parallel-Twin that boasted a peak of 96 hp and 83 lb-ft of torque.
The Triumph Thruxton Final Edition is based on the Thruxton RS and uses Triumph’s High Power 1,200cc parallel-Twin that produces a claimed 104 hp and 83 lb-ft of torque. Its 270-degree crankshaft layout emits a deep V-Twin-like exhaust note.
The most striking feature of the Thuxton Final Edition is its exclusive Competition Green paint scheme with hand-painted gold pinstripes. A special touch is that each bike is signed by the artist who painted it.
“This gold lining really is an expert skill with only a small handful of artists in our world-leading paint facilities trained to apply this detail,” said Wood. “Each line is hand-painted using specially developed paint applied in long continuous strokes to get that gorgeous finish.”
Each Thruxton Final Edition comes with a certificate of authenticity featuring the bike’s VIN number, which is signed by members of the Thruxton 1200 design team and Triumph CEO Nick Bloor. A unique Final Edition engine badge will also be supplied with each motorcycle, with a gold-finished surround and “Final Edition” graphic infill.
“This really is the final chapter in this incredible story,” said Wood, “and a motorcycle that provides an exclusive opportunity for riders to own a piece of history as part of the one last final production run.”
Fully adjustable suspension includes a Showa Big Piston inverted fork and Öhlins piggyback shocks. Lightweight 17-inch aluminum 32-spoke wheels are fitted with grippy Metzeler Racetec RR tires. Up front, Brembo M50 radial monoblock calipers provide high-performance braking backed up by ABS.
The Thruxton’s classic styling includes two round analog gauges with LCD insets that provide at-a-glance information including riding mode setting, gear-position indicator, fuel level, and odometer. Three ride modes (Sport, Road, and Rain) adjust throttle response and traction control to suit conditions. A USB charging port is standard.
In addition to the Competition Green metallic paint scheme and gold pinstripes, the Thruxton Final Edition has contrasting black side panels and fenders, a gold Heritage Triumph logo on the tank, and Thruxton Final Edition branding.
More than 80 genuine Triumph Thruxton accessories are available, including a “passenger set-up” with a pillion seat, passenger footrests, and a grab rail. Exclusive to the Final Edition, a dedicated accessory cockpit fairing is also available, color-matched to blend perfectly with the limited-edition Competition Green paint scheme.

In response to customer request for brighter, more distinctive, and more elegant color options and building on the success of the 2022 Gold Line Editions, Triumph has announced a new range of color options for most of its 2023 lineup.
Additionally, the company has renamed two of its 900cc models: the Street Twin is now called the Speed Twin 900, and the Street Scrambler becomes the Scrambler 900. According to a press release from Triumph, the new names were chosen to “better represent the family connections across Triumph’s iconic Bonneville lineup, and their specific engine capacities.”

The Scrambler 1200 received an update for 2022 that included a revised exhaust system offering improved heat distribution. The 1,200cc liquid-cooled parallel-Twin makes a claimed 89 hp at 7,250 rpm and 81.1 lb-ft of torque. It has a 6-speed gearbox, slip/assist clutch, and X-ring chain final drive. The XC come with five riding modes – Road, Rain, Sport, Rider Configurable, Off-Road – and the XE tacks on an additional Off-Road Pro mode.

Triumph’s best-selling modern classic model, the Street Twin, gets a makeover inspired by the vibrant custom scene of London’s East End – particularly the historic streets of the EC1 district that gives the Street Twin EC1 Special Edition its name. The EC1 is set apart as a Special Edition with a unique Matte Aluminum Silver and Matte Silver Ice paint scheme with special EC1 graphics on the tank and side panels, as well as a matching fly screen.
The spunky Street Twin is unchanged otherwise, with its liquid-cooled 900cc parallel-Twin engine, Brembo 4-piston front brake caliper, ABS, Road and Rain ride modes, traction control, torque-assist clutch, and USB charging socket, all standard. The Street Twin EC1 Special Edition will be available starting in January 2022, for an MSRP of $10,350.

The legendary Ton Up boys of the 1950s and ‘60s – the original café racers – and the first ever production 100mph lap of the Isle of Man TT, achieved by Malcolm Uphill in 1969, are celebrated by the new Thruxton RS Ton Up Special Edition. With its Aegean Blue gas tank, Fusion White seat cowl and front fender, and Carnival Red accents and graphics, the Ton Up will stand out in a crowd. Also included are unique “100” and “Ton Up” graphics and an accessory Aegean Blue fairing to complete the café racer look.
Otherwise the Thruxton RS retains all of its standard features, including a character-filled liquid-cooled 1,200cc parallel-Twin, twin 310mm Brembo floating front brake discs squeezed by Brembo M50 radial monoblock calipers; fully adjustable Öhlins shocks and Showa 43mm fork; Metzeler Racetec RR tires; throttle-by-wire with Road, Rain, and Sport ride modes; ABS; traction control; torque-assist clutch; and a USB charging socket. The Thruxton RS Ton Up Special Edition will be available starting in January 2022, for an MSRP of $17,300.

The Rocket 3 GT and Rocket 3 R 221 Special Editions seek to remind the world of one thing: their superlative 221 Newton meters of torque (or 163 lb-ft for us Yanks), the highest claimed torque of any production motorcycle in the world. The 221s get their message across with a rich Red Hopper paint scheme incorporating the Rocket 3’s performance numbers emblazed on the tank: horsepower, torque, engine size, bore, and stroke.

Backing it up, of course, is the massive 2,458cc inline-Triple producing all that torque and a claimed 167 horsepower, along with a fully adjustable Showa shock, adjustable 47mm Showa fork, Brembo Stylema 4-piston radial monoblock calipers, TFT instrumentation, IMU-based ABS and traction control, four ride modes (Road, Rain, Sport and Rider-configurable), hill hold control, cruise control, keyless ignition, heated grips (GT only), and a USB charging socket.
The Rocket 3 GT 221 Special Edition will be available starting in January 2022, for an MSRP of $24,600. The Rocket 3 R 221 Special Edition will be available starting in January 2022, for an MSRP of $23,900.
