Moriwaki Althea Honda Team’s Leon Camier will miss this week’s Motul Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) test at Misano as he continues to recover from a shoulder injury sustained at Imola’s fifth round.

A blameless collision during the Superpole qualifying session at the Italian stop left him with damage to his left shoulder ligaments and was unfit to race that weekend, and now taking him out of two crucial days of testing.

The injury is expected to heal by itself with the British contender needing additional recovery time. No surgery is currently advisable, but the situation will be reassessed when necessary.

For the Misano test, the Moriwaki Althea Honda Team will field BSB Honda Racing’s Xavi Fores and All Japan Road Race JSB1000 Championship rider Yuki Takahashi alongside Moriwaki Althea Honda’s Ryuichi Kiyonari.
