An insight into Two Wheels For Life’s incredible work

According to collected data, the number of coronavirus cases in these countries are relatively low when compared with the West, East, and the Middle East, with 11 cases in Gambia, 141 in Liberia, 36 in Malawi, 1728 in Nigeria and no reported cases in Lesotho. Coleman is convinced the low numbers are due to lack of testing in the area: “There are no reported cases in Lesotho at the moment but they are heading for the winter and it is a very mountainous country, it’s very cold there in the winter, lots of snow and ice and those communities will be in their homes and not going out too much. Those are the conditions people are worried about when the spreading is more severe. The number of cases is around 5000 in South Africa, and despite the fact that there are no reported cases in Lesotho, it is unlikely that there are none there.

Misano, Andorra and Sepang circuits opening to riders

Race circuits start to open for training/testing

As motorcycle racing around the world struggles with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic the first steps are now being taken to allow riders to get back on track and training.

Overnight Misano, Sepang and the Andorra Circuit high up in the Pyrenees mountains, near the French border, declared that they are now open for riders to train on track.

22 professional motorcycle riders (9 of whom are MotoGP riders) are resident in Andorra (Jack Miller bases himself in Andorra but is currently home in QLD), can now ride their motorcycles again and resume training immediately.

Anti-contamination protocols in Andorra will be validated by computer biologist Joel López and the training sessions will be divided into two groups and different time slots to avoid having more than 10 riders training.

While at Misano, on the east coast of Northern Italy, a brand new surface will greet riders as fresh asphalt was laid on the 4.226 kilometre circuit just before the region went into lock-down.

This week Sepang International Circuit opened their doors again with temperature checking done on entry for all persons who are then also required to wear an SIC issued face mask. Only ten people per session are permitted and all must maintain a minimum one-metre away from each other.

Suzuki “continue working” towards 2022 satellite team plans

“In the same time, Alex came to us and said ‘I would like to stay, I would like to continue with Suzuki. If you’re happy, we can sign the agreement now’. We were happy to do that, but it was a little bit more complicated because how our company works is that we needed to go to our President in May, June, July 2019 and say we have to sign an agreement for 2021. He was probably right, given by what can happen, but he wanted to go step-by-step. So, we had to wait for the right time according to our company procedure. During 2019, you think about the 2020 season and then when 2020 is about to start you can state talking about 2021, things like that. But in our mind with Alex, we were already agreed. We were all happy to keep Alex.

American Racing Team announces official Ohvale Racing Team

“The amount of talent in and around the United States is massive,” Hopkins stated. “It’s just a matter of finding that talent, showing them what’s possible and preparing them for the future by giving them the best possible tools and training to succeed at the highest level. Although my family did everything they could to help me from an early age, being from a low-income family meant they could only do so much. If it weren’t for the help from a select few individuals, along with an academy-style series they had back then called The Aprilia Cup Challenge, there is no way I would’ve ever made it into professional road racing, let alone MotoGP. Eitan and I want to be able to give back and provide young American riders the same opportunities that were given to me.”

Will Ducati bet on a Spanish rider again in 2021?

Regarding this, Chicho Lorenzo pointed out that “they all want to get to MotoGP” and that “there isn’t one who doesn’t dream of getting there” and even better if they end up “in an official team”. In order to be successful, Chicho believes in a formula: “Simply, it is about knowing how to solve problems with what you are going to encounter and for that, you also need a method because it’s a process: coming across a problem, analysing it, trial or error, don’t get disheartened and, in the end, and all of a sudden, you overcome the problem and move on to the next one.”
