Beirer: Pedrosa “unbelievable value” for KTM

“I’m very happy that we took another step in the project, which basically happened around Jerez,” said Beirer to Crafar, commenting about the steps forward the Austrian factory is making this year. “We had the parts there, we didn’t use them in the race but in the test after the race. We made a good step forward but then with the test results, you’re still nervous. You want to prove it in a race, so we can see we made a step forward, then we went to Mugello, which was a terrible track for us last year and we could show some highlights on the Free Practice days; the Friday and Saturday.

Lüthi stays top despite Fernandez’ FP2 pace

Temperatures rose in the afternoon after cooler, cloudy conditions were the order of play in FP1, with it seemingly having a negative effect for plenty of the Moto2™ riders. Neither Lüthi, Marquez, Navarro – the Spaniard crashing in FP2 – unable to better their Friday morning times. Fernandez was one of those who managed to go quicker in the afternoon, but it wasn’t by much. Less than a tenth was the Spaniard’s improvement late in FP2 to top said session, but it wasn’t enough to claw him past the fastest three – 0.109 covering the top four, with the ever-impressing Enea Bastianini (Italtrans Racing Team) another one of those riders who failed to go quicker in FP2. Fifth overall and top rookie for ‘The Beast’ in Barcelona, with the Kalex rider also taking P5 in FP2.

Adventure-Touring—Crossing The Yukon On BMW’s R 1200 GS

We got it. The next two days brought some of the most scenic riding any of us had ever enjoyed. The Cassiar delivered miles and miles of gently swooping turns through some of Canada’s oldest old-growth forest. We had several bear sightings, but saw no ice road truckers and passed almost no other motorists. Dease Lake was a bit bleak, so we stopped for breakfast a bit south at the delightful Tatogga Lake Resort, eating a hearty meal in a knotty pine dining room surrounded by stuffed moose, elk, grizzly, wolves, and deer.

Fellow Honda rider Cal Crutchlow (LCR Honda Castrol) rounds out a top ten covered by just 0.623, the Briton climbing one place from his P11 in FP1.
