Yamaha and Daretti join forces once again for 2021

Following the 2021 MotoGP eSport Championship‘s four Pro Draft Challenges, which he passed with flying colours, Lorenzo Daretti is set to take part in the Global Series again. The Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team are delighted to take this opportunity to announce the renewal of their contract with the double MotoGP™ eSport World Champion, also known by his gamer tag Trastevere73 or Trast73.

Daretti has been a top challenger in MotoGP™ eSport since 2017. He showed great professionalism as well as a genuine passion for motorsports from the start of his career, and it therefore came as no surprise that he secured the 2017 and 2018 MotoGP™ eSport World Championship Title. In 2019, he joined the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP team as its official eRider for the first time. To this day, Trastvere73 remains the man to beat. He went on to secure the 2019 and 2020 Vice-Champion title and is as hungry as ever for the win.

The 21-year-old and his avatar will again have matching customised rider gear (leathers, boots, gloves and helmet), to finish off the complete Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP rider look.

Besides cheering him on in the MotoGP™ eSport Championship, fans can also look forward to seeing Daretti in action at various (Covid-19 friendly) promotional events. Moreover, being a biker himself, he will also participate in selected Yamaha events on track and on road (following Covid-19 prevention guidelines).
