Born in 2000, Lecuona raced in the FIM CEV Repsol International Championship in Moto2™ – now the Finetwork FIM JuniorGP™ – in 2015 and 2016, with a slew of impressive top five results. His debut in the Moto2™ World Championship came in 2016, a year in which he raced six times, before three full-time seasons came in 2017, 2018 and 2019 in the intermediate class.
