Despite threats of rain, the circuit remained dry for the Moto2™ riders. Barry Baltus (Fieten Olie Racing GP) came out of the box with all guns blazing as he stormed to the top of the timesheets and led the way until time attacks came from the big hitters. Dixon built his way into the session, taking to the top with the likes of Chantra, Salac, and Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Ajo) in hot pursuit. Alonso Lopez (Beta Tools SpeedUp) also threatened the top spots finishing the session in P5.
