Adventure at Its Finest

The Cold Start Comes Back for a Second Edition Aimed at ADV

Have you ever dreamed of packing your saddle bags and setting off on a whirlwind motorcycle adventure? Perhaps you don’t know where to start. Or maybe you’re a weekend warrior who’d like to take it to the next level. Better yet, you’re a seasoned traveler but you’re just looking for the next two-wheeled exploits. Whatever the case, your perfect Springtime escapade is waiting just across the border. The Cold Start Off-Road Riding Clinic & Culinary Experience is back for its second year, this time with a focus on ADV 101, launching May 5th (Cinco de Mayo, no less) from Ensenada traveling south on seaside dirt road. It’s a full schedule of rides, workshops, and incredible local fare to satisfy your hunger for exhilarating affairs.  Circling back to city by the 9th, the event will reach its crescendo with a workshop, ride, and intimate farewell party. But the savvy guests will stay an extra day and choose from one of three excellent outings hosted by Lost In Baja tour company: sport fishing, horseback riding or a regional food tour.

For those who crave a bit more full-focused riding education, two great entities are offering an additional off-road motorcycle course on May 5th just as the event kicks off. Guests – as well as their loved ones – are welcome to sign up for an optional skills clinic (at a separate cost) with Donni Reddington of Skool of Moto (dual-sport instructor & guide) or Dusty Wessels of West38moto (ADV bike instructor & guide). Learn to wrangle your 890 like it’s a 500. Become one with your small-displacement motorbike. This intensive will only heighten the experience touring coastal Baja Norte, build a bond with comrades, staff, and leaders, and immerse yourself in the culture through the tastes of this incredible Mexican state.

To put icing on the cake, before the guests even arrive, REV’IT! is offering a generous 40% discount to participants upon registration, which is now open and ready to welcome you on an unforgettable motorcycle trip. Visit www.TheColdStart.org or email [email protected] to learn about the two packages [Full Send & Coasting], to learn more or put your name on the entry list.
