The Yamaha Sunny Corner Trail Bike Ride lived up to its name as New South Wales’ biggest trail ride last weekend, as close to 1300 riders enjoyed the annual event.

Hosted by the Central Tablelands Motorcycle Club near Portland in New South Wales, riders enjoyed a weekend of camping and riding three marked out loops between 40-60km long with optional hard and easy sections.

Main sponsor Yamaha Motor Australia once again supplied a wide range of demo bikes to test on a closed circuit, and buggy racer Jake Williams took passengers for a thrilling ride in a YXZ1000R sports SSV – both activities proving extremely popular.

The bonfire was put to the torch on Saturday night as riders congregated around the main stage to hear who won the main entry prize – a brand new 2019 WR450F fitted with GYTR parts.

A bLU cRU truck of YMA technicians were on hand to assist demo bike setup as well as fix any issues that Yamaha riders experienced over the weekend, plus the team from OatesMX offered coaching advice to riders on the demo track.

YMA entertained 25 VIP guests from Yamaha distributors around the globe and head office in Japan who were eager to participate in an Australian trail bike rally and chat with local riders.

They left impressed with the size and scale of the event as well as the seemingly endless supply of technical singletrack – as well as the fun had and passion shown by the Sunny Corner riders.
