Halfway point: a battle in the heat of Jerez awaits

The charge really is on in the JuniorGP™ category, with Jose Antonio Rueda (Team Estrella Galicia 0,0) sporting a commanding lead in the Championship, with 39 points his margin over the chasing pack, headed by David Salvador (Laglisse Academy). Rueda dominated the last two races at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and now heads to Jerez, where he’s a winner already in the Red Bull Rookies Cup earlier in the year. For the first time in 2022, Salvador failed to get on the podium last time out in Barcelona, but with plenty of good results in the past at Jerez, including a fourth last season, he’ll hope to claw back Rueda in the title chase this weekend. Completing the top three, Syarifuddin Azman (SIC Racing). In contrast to Salvador, Azman got his first two podiums of the season last time out, with the 20-year-old Malaysian keen to shine at Jerez this coming weekend.

Track guide for Global Series Round 2: Le Mans!

For turn six, shift back from fifth to third gear and hug the inside apex before accelerating up to sixth gear with angle. Then comes the awkward turn seven, which requires the gamer to brake down to turn one. Again, brake toward the apex but be mindful of the camber changing. From early, it’s time to go up through the gears, all the way to sixth before another heavy braking area, this time for turn eight (again shift back to first).

Razgatlioglu’s future cleared up by Sofuoglu in Assen

“Yamaha has lost their second team and their factory team is full, so we’ll be in WorldSBK next year,” continued Sofuoglu. “One thing is clear, in 2024 we are able to speak with any brand, any MotoGP team. But if Toprak comes to the MotoGP paddock, he will not come with a B team. If he comes to the paddock, it’ll only be with an official team. Without that he’ll stay in WorldSBK. I’m going to put my riders only in an official team.”

Yamaha boss issues statement on Quartararo penalty

Jarvis concludes: “We wanted to appeal the decision of the Stewards on Sunday at the Assen track, but this type of penalty is not open to discussion or appeal. We then wanted to raise the issue, as a matter of principle, with CAS (Court of Arbitration of Sport), but equally such a matter is not open to appeal. It is precisely for these reasons that correct, balanced, and consistent decisions should be taken by the Stewards in the first place and executed within the correct, reasonable time frame.”

Insta360 Announces The 1-Inch 360 Edition Camera, In Partnership With Leica

Meet Insta360’s latest and greatest 360 camera, built with the help of one of the most well-respected lens companies around.

Begin press release:

Insta360 today launched ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition, a camera that raises the bar for 360-degree capture, with dual 1-inch sensors and 6K video resolution.

“Co-engineered with Leica”, the 1-Inch 360 Edition allows creators to shoot in industry-leading image quality with a tool that’s small enough to carry anywhere they go. Its dual-lens 360 design enables creators to easily capture creative shots that would be impossible with traditional shooting rigs.

“The 1-Inch 360 Edition represents Insta360’s continued mission to make ONE RS the most comprehensive and versatile camera on the market. This latest edition turns ONE RS into a powerful 6K camera capable of impressive performance even in low light, said JK Liu, founder of Insta360.

Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition is available to order today via Insta360.com.

Inspired Imaging without Limits

Representing a major breakthrough in the way creators can realize their creative visions, ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition boasts two 1-inch CMOS sensors. As a result, the camera is capable of shooting stunning 6K 360 footage and 21MP 360 photos.

The 1-inch sensors are the secret to the camera’s superb low light capabilities, delivering impressive dynamic range from dusk through dawn. Where other consumer 360 cameras struggle with shadows and highlights, the 1-Inch 360 Edition shows the world in sharp, true-to-life color and detail.

The 1-Inch 360 Edition also marks the first 360 camera to be “co-engineered with Leica”, thanks to Insta360 and Leica’s strategic partnership dating back to 2020. “We’re excited to bring Leica’s optical and digital imaging expertise into a new product segment with the ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition. Creators can take advantage of both the camera’s 360 capture capabilities and its dual 1-inch sensors, no longer having to choose between creativity and premium image quality,” said Matthias Harsch, CEO of Leica Camera AG.

The Freedom of 360

ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition is designed to eliminate the restrictions of bulky shooting rigs. Whether it’s used for professional filmmaking, VR content production, outdoor exploration or enterprise applications, the camera’s compact form factor allows creators to shoot in ways that simply weren’t possible before.

With two lenses recording in full panoramic 360, creators no longer need to consider where the camera is pointed. Instead, they can capture all the action in one take, reframing it after the fact in an infinite number of ways according to their creative vision. Sharing in immersive 360 or as traditional flat footage is simple with the Insta360 software.

Panoramic 360 capture technology also makes dolly shots and breathtaking third-person views possible. Ugly selfie sticks are totally erased from footage by the dual lenses, resulting in clean and unobstructed shots without a selfie stick in sight.

At the same time, Insta360’s FlowState Stabilization and horizon leveling algorithms eliminate the need for extra stabilizing equipment like a gimbal, producing incredibly smooth and level footage every time.

Powered by AI

Harnessing the power of AI allows creators to effortlessly create impressive edits with the 1-Inch 360 Edition. The new PureShot HDR photo mode uses AI and auto exposure bracketing to increase the dynamic range of your shots, eliminating the need for further post editing.

Short videos for social media can be created in seconds in the Insta360 app, where Shot Lab uses AI to automate editing techniques like cloning, dolly zooms and star trails. For dialing in on the details, creators can turn to the Insta360 Studio desktop software or Adobe Premiere Pro plugin for full manual controls.

Unmatched Versatility

Whether creating a timelapse of the Northern Lights or a virtual tour of a real estate property, ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition has the versatility to bring bold ideas to life.

The camera’s IPX3 water resistance keeps it protected against rain or snow when shooting outdoors, while the 1-inch sensors deliver great dynamic range and sharpness indoors.

Thanks to the camera’s portable form factor, it can easily be mounted on a car or backpack for Google Street View photography, on a tripod for virtual tours or even on a hardhat for construction site monitoring. The camera will be compatible with major platforms like Matterport and OpenSpace with a future software development kit (SDK) release.

Available Now

Insta360 ONE RS 1-Inch 360 Edition is available to purchase worldwide via store.insta360.com and select retailers worldwide. It retails for US$799.99.

With its interchangeable lens design, the 1-Inch 360 Lens is compatible with both the ONE R and ONE RS Cores, giving creators the ability to transform their action camera into a premium 360 camera, or vice versa. An upgrade bundle for ONE R and ONE RS users is available for US$649.99, which includes the 1-Inch 360 Lens, Battery and Mounting Bracket (Core excluded).

Nelson-Rigg Hurricane 2.0 Waterproof Backpack/Tail Pack | Gear Review

Nelson-Rigg Hurricane 2.0 Waterproof Backpack/Tail Pack

Several years ago, I tested the first generation of Nelson-Rigg’s Hurricane Waterproof Backpack/Tail Pack, which impressed me with its practicality, functionality, and versatility. Nelson-Rigg has redesigned its entire line of Rigg Gear Hurricane waterproof luggage, which also includes saddlebags, duffel bags, and roll bags.

As with the original, version 2.0 of the Backpack/Tail Pack is made of waterproof, UV-resistant, vinyl-coated 24-oz. polyester tarpaulin fabric with electronically heat-welded seams. Rather than the previous 40-liter and 20-liter options, the new bag is available in a single, happy-medium 30-liter size. One of the key updates is the new 4-point Rigg Strap system, which uses a set of adjustable cam-lock straps to secure the bag to a motorcycle seat and/or luggage rack. Once the straps are cinched tight, the bag stays put even during aggressive off-road riding. I gave it a good thrashing while testing the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, and it passed with flying colors.

The main compartment of the bag has a large top opening that seals shut with a roll-down, dry-bag closure secured with quick-release buckles. A closable purge valve makes it easy to squeeze out excess air when closing the bag, and there’s a sleeve pocket inside that accommodates tablets and laptops up to 15 inches.

The outside of the bag has a side pocket with a drawstring closure that holds a water or fuel bottle up to 30 oz. A large panel on the back is covered in MOLLE webbing for attaching other items, and the panel is hinged on the bottom to provide access to the waterproof document pocket on the other side. The panel also conceals a durable mesh pocket that can be used to stash items for quick access or hold an optional hydration bladder ($19.95). Both sides of the bag have rubber carry handles and loops for attaching items or threading the Rigg Straps.

Large, adjustable, contoured backpack straps have a connector strap across the chest for added security. The backpack straps have outer strips of webbing for attaching a GPS locator, a multi-tool pouch, or other quick-grab items, and there are clips on each strap for securing a hydration tube. When using the bag as a tail pack, the backpack straps can be hidden behind the padded, breathable back panel.

The Hurricane 2.0 Waterproof Backpack/Tail Pack is a well-made, durable piece of motorcycle gear that is even more practical, functional, and versatile than before. Covered by a lifetime warranty, it’s a solid value at $169.95.

Marc Marquez’s open letter to fans on his road to recovery

The idea that perhaps I needed to have another operation was there since September of last year. We were checking my arm periodically, to see the evolution of the fracture after the third surgery. When preseason came around, I wanted to convince myself that I could do it, with the phrase “power is in the mind” as my motto. But as the season began, I realised that the limitations were very big. My idea was to compete the whole season – since the bone was not one hundred percent consolidated from the third operation –, but whilst knowing my limitations and hiding the discomfort, to avoid daily questions. Only those closest to me knew about the situation.

A. Espargaro explains stunning final chicane pass at Assen

“So two laps until the end, I got to map three, which was almost not easy. I said to myself, you have to do the fast corner spinning and carrying a lot more speed than them and it pays off,” said Espargaro, talking about the rapid Turn 15 left-hander that brings the riders into the famous stadium section at Assen.

Three wins in one day at Assen – they earned a summer break

Like Redman, he won all three Grands Prix on Honda machinery. First, the 250cc race after fighting off the challenge of Bill Ivy on the two-stroke Yamaha. Next up, the 350cc and finally the 20-lap 500cc race and the second showdown of the day with the MV Agusta of Giacomo Agostini. In all, Hailwood had raced in a single day to three wins over 57 laps of the 7.7km Assen circuit. It was a total distance of a staggering 439km, which he completed in a time of three hours, three minutes, 0.07s. I think, and I am sure he would have enjoyed, a beer or two that evening.
